Editing Virtual Channels

To edit a channel, follow these steps:

1. Expand Data Neighborhood in the configuration tree.
2. Right-click the channel you want to edit, and select Properties.
   
   –or–
   
   Select the channel, and click Properties at the top of the Attributes pane.
3. The configuration window opens and displays your editing options:

   Settings common to all configurations

   In all configuration windows, you can edit the following settings:

   • Channel Name

   • Description

   Analog Input

   In the Analog Input Configuration window, you can edit the following settings:

   • AI Physical Quantity

   • Sensor

   • AI Hardware

   • AI Miscellaneous

   Analog Output

   In the Analog Output Configuration window, you can edit the following settings:

   • AO Physical Quantity

   • Actuator

   • AO Hardware

   Digital I/O

   In the Digital I/O Configuration window, you can edit the following settings:

   • DIO Hardware

   • Signal Inversion

4. Click OK when you are finished.
