Scaling Formula

The scaling formula section defines which formula Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) uses to scale the data on the specified channel.

No Scaling—Matches the physical quantity range to the sensor or actuator range.

Map Ranges—Computes a linear conversion between the sensor or actuator range and the physical quantity range.

New Custom Scale—Enables you to create a custom scale for your channel.

If you have previously configured a custom scale, the scale name is included in the Scaling Formula list.
