Analog Output

Click any of the following items to configure your analog output channels.

Voltage Output Channel

Configure a voltage output channel if you have a voltage actuator (which converts the voltage output from DAQ hardware to the physical quantity you are controlling) or if you are controlling voltage directly.

To configure a voltage output channel, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the channel name and description. Click Next.

  2. Select Voltage in the Sensor selection box. Click Next.

  3. Enter the units you are using for the output.

  4. Enter the minimum and maximum voltage output values in the Range selection boxes.

Click the checkbox to display values in scientific notion. Click Next.

  5. Select the type of scaling you want to use. Enter the minimum and maximum voltage values in the Range selection boxes if you use scaling.

Click the checkbox to display values in scientific notation. Click Next.

  6. Specify the DAQ hardware to be used. You can select only the DAQ devices in your system that have voltage output channels.

  7. Select the device channel to use for the output.

  8. Click Finish when you are done.

Current Output Channel

Configure a current output channel if you have a current actuator (which converts the current output from DAQ hardware to the physical quantity you are controlling) or if you are controlling current directly.

To configure a current output channel, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the channel name and description. Click Next.

  2. Select Current in the Sensor selection box. Click Next.

  3. Enter the units you are using for the output.

  4. Enter the minimum and maximum current output values in the Range selection boxes.

Click the checkbox to display values in scientific notion. Click Next.

  5. Select the type of scaling you want to use. Enter the minimum and maximum current values in the Range selection boxes if you use scaling.

Click the checkbox to display values in scientific notation. Click Next.

  6. Select your DAQ device. You can only select the DAQ devices in your system that have current output channels.

  7. Select the device channel to use for the output.

  8. Click Finish when you are done.
