Using the Remote DAQ Configuration Dialog Box

The left pane of the Remote DAQ Configuration dialog box shows a tree view of the configured objects on the remote computer. Objects can be DAQ devices, SCXI chassis and modules, virtual channels, and custom scales. Click an object, then do one of the following:

  • To view and edit the properties of the object, click Properties.
  • To delete the object, click Delete.
  • To add an object to a category, select the category and click Add.
  • To save your changes, click Save.

When you are finished configuring the remote computer, click Exit.

To modify the configuration of a remote computer, the remote computer must be running the NI-DAQ RDA Server, or it must be a LabVIEW Real-Time target. If the computer is not a LabVIEW Real-Time target, it must have a valid DAQ configuration file. You can create a DAQ configuration file by running MAX on the remote computer.

For information on connecting to a remote computer, see Starting Remote DAQ Configuration.
