Configuring SCXI Modules

To configure your SCXI module, follow these steps:

  1. Expand Devices and Interfaces»Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) Devices.
  2. Right-click the module you want to configure, and select Properties.

    –or–

    Select the module, and click Properties at the top of the Attributes pane.
  3. A configuration dialog box opens. The following configuration tab options vary depending on the selected module.

    General

    Select the General tab to set up the following SCXI module settings:

    Connected to

    In the Connected to selection box, select the device connected to your SCXI module.

    If you are configuring a module in a PXI-1010 chassis, and the chassis is controlled by a PXI device through an internal PXI-SCXI connection, select None in the Connected to selection box.

    If there are multiple multiplexed modules in a chassis, select the checkbox below the Connected to selection box if you want the device connected to this module to control the chassis.

    Operating Mode

    In the Operating Mode selection box, select the appropriate mode for your SCXI module.

    Channel

    Select the Channel tab to set up the channel and mode settings. Depending on your module, you can select settings for gain, filter, or terminal block gain on a per channel basis.

    Accessory

    Select the Accessory tab to assign an accessory to your SCXI module. In the Accessory selection box, select the accessory attached to your SCXI module.

  4. Click OK when you are done.
