User-Supplied CJC Channel
Select User-Supplied CJC Channel as your CJC type to use one of your configured input channels as your CJC channel. In the CJC Channel Name menu, MAX displays the channels that meet the following criteria:
- The channel must be an existing analog input channel.
- The channel must be configured to measure temperature in degrees C, F, K, or R.
- The channel must be configured in one of the following ways:
- If you have specified a plug-in board as your device, configure the channel to use the plug-in board or any of the modules connected to that plug-in board.
- If you have specified a module as your device, configure the channel to use the module, the plug-in board to which the module is connected, or any of the other modules connected to that plug-in board.
Connect the user-supplied CJC channel to a sensor that reads the ambient temperature at the location where you terminate your thermocouple channel.
