Adding DAQ Devices in Windows 2000/XP

Plug and Play Devices

Windows 2000/XP automatically detects Plug and Play devices. To add a Plug and Play device, follow these steps:

1. Install your DAQ device according to the DAQ Getting Started Guide.
2. Launch MAX, which scans your operating system for new devices.
3. The new device appears beneath Devices and Interfaces. For information on configuring your DAQ device, refer to Configuring DAQ Devices.

If Windows 2000/XP did not detect your Plug and Play device, refer to Plug and Play Devices.
