MAX Registry Entries
MAX and its associated Windows 2000/XP drivers and DLLs modify the Windows registry to keep track of the devices you have installed and configured.
The NI-DAQ installer makes its own entries in the Windows 2000/XP registry, and you can remove them by uninstalling NI-DAQ. You can uninstall NI-DAQ using the Control Panel»Add/Remove Programs wizard.
Modified Registry Entry
MAX modifies the following place in the Windows 2000/XP registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\DAQDevice\nnnn, where nnnn is a four-digit hexadecimal number.
Added Registry Entries
The Windows Device Manager adds the following registry entries when it detects NI Plug and Play hardware or when you add new hardware using the Add New Hardware wizard:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\ISAPNP\NICnnnn, where nnnn is a four-digit hexadecimal number.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\PCI\VEN_1093&DEV_nnnn, where nnnn is a four-digit hexadecimal number.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\PCMCIA\National_Instruments-DAQCARD*, where * consists of the rest of the product name, plus a four-digit hexadecimal CRC code.

To view these registry entries in the Windows 2000/XP Registry Editor, select Start»Run and enter regedt32.exe. This runs the Registry Editor program.
