Editing the AO Hardware
The Hardware section defines which DAQ device and which channel on the device you are assigning to this virtual channel.
Device | In the Device selection box, select a DAQ device. The selection box lists all devices in your system with analog output channels. The devices in the DAQ device selection box change depending on which actuator you have selected. MAX determines whether the actuator you have selected uses voltage or current. |
Channel | In the Channel selection box, select a channel for your DAQ device. Some channels are reserved because they are used by your system configuration and therefore are not available for configuration. The Channel menu marks these channels with a (sys) next to the channel number. The Channel selection box also marks channels already used by other virtual channels with a (cfg).
If you select channels marked with a (sys) or a (cfg), your virtual channel is marked as invalid. However, if you are swapping two channels, this invalid situation is only temporary, and the configuration becomes valid when another configuration is no longer attached to the DAQ hardware channel. |
Pin # | After you select a device and channel, the Hardware panel displays the pin number or name corresponding to the selected channel as labeled on the device accessory, if one is connected, or on the device output connector if no accessory is connected to the device. |
