Creating an RDA Server

To create an RDA server, follow these steps:

  1. Install NI-DAQ on both the RDA server and client according to the DAQ Getting Started Guide.
  2. Install and configure your DAQ devices on the RDA client.
  3. Confirm the devices on the RDA client are working properly by testing their resources. For more information, refer to Testing DAQ Devices.
  4. On the RDA server, launch the NI-DAQ RDA Server Utility by clicking Start»Programs»National Instruments»NI-DAQ»Remote Device Access Server. For your computer to act as an RDA server, you must leave the RDA Server Utility running.
