If you use Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 to send and receive e-mail messages, you can send a form to others as an attachment to an e-mail message. Recipients must use InfoPath to open the attachment and either fill out the form or edit the form design.
Note Before you send a form to others, it is recommended that you publish the form to a location that is accessible to users of the form. This enables you to update the form more easily and it enables certain features to work correctly, including data connections, custom task panes, Microsoft ActiveX controls, and managed code. If you prefer to send the form without publishing it to a shared location, you can digitally sign the form, which enables form features to work correctly and allows you to send updated versions of the form to others by using an e-mail program.
- Open the form that you want to send.
- On the File menu, click Send Form as Attachment.
- If you are prompted to either publish the form or send it as an attachment, click Send as Attachment.
A new e-mail message opens, and the form is attached to the message.
