Populate a list box with values from a database, Web service, XML document, or SharePoint site

  1. In design mode, double-click the list box you want to populate.
  2. On the Data tab in the List Box Properties dialog box, click Look up values in a data connection to a database, Web service, file, or SharePoint library or list.
  3. In the Data Connection list, click the data connection you want to use.
  4. Click Select XPath Button image next to the Entries box.
  5. In the Select a Field or Group dialog box, click the field or group that contains the fields that provide the values you want to populate the list box with, and then click OK.
  6. Click Select XPath Button image next to the Value box.
  7. In the Select a Field or Group dialog box, click the field that contains the values that are stored in the form when a user clicks an item in the list box, and then click OK.
  8. Click Select XPath Button image next to the Display name box.
  9. In the Select a Field or Group dialog box, click the field that contains the values that are displayed in the list box, and then click OK.
