Test the binding of a control
When designing a form, you can quickly test the binding of a control in the form by referring to the control's binding icon.
- In design mode, click the control whose binding you want to test.
Text and a binding icon appear in the upper-right corner of the control. The text indicates the group or field to which the control is bound in the data source. The icon indicates whether the control is correctly bound to that group or field. The following table describes each of the binding icons.
Icon Description 
The binding is correct. 
The control may not function as expected. To learn more about the possible problem, right-click the control, and then click More Details on the shortcut menu. 
The control will not function correctly. When users save the form, any data they entered into the control will be lost. To learn more about the problem, right-click the control, and then click More Details on the shortcut menu.
