Open a sample form
Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 includes a variety of predesigned business forms that can be used as is or customized to suit your needs. In addition, InfoPath comes with four developer sample forms that explore certain form design features in greater detail. These forms are targeted at more advanced form designers, such as those who use script in their forms.
- Under Form categories in the Fill Out a Form dialog box, click Sample Forms.
Note If the Fill Out a Form dialog box isn't visible, click Fill Out a Form on the File menu.
- Do one of the following:
- To fill out the sample form, select the form you want in the Sample Forms gallery, and then click Fill Out this Form under Form tasks.
- To customize the sample form or review its underlying design, select the form you want in the Sample Forms gallery, and then, click Design this Form under Form tasks.
- Under Open a form in the Fill Out a Form dialog box, click Open.
Note If the Fill Out a Form dialog box isn't visible, click Fill Out a Form on the File menu.
- In the Open dialog box, browse to the following location, which is where InfoPath installs the developer sample forms by default:
<drive:>\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\SAMPLES\INFOPATH
- Double-click the developer sample form (.xsn file) that you want to open.
- To view the form's underlying design, click Design This Form on the Standard toolbar.
