Insert a vertical label
You can use a vertical label to display read-only text at a 90-degree angle. For example, you can insert vertical label text into the column headings in a repeating table to save space.
Note A vertical label is an expression box control with the Display text vertically property selected by default.
- In design mode, place the insertion point where you want to insert the vertical label.
- If the Controls task pane is not visible, click More Controls on the Insert menu.
- Under Insert controls, click Vertical Label.
- In the Text box in the Insert Vertical Label dialog box, type the text that you want.
- To test the vertical text, click Preview Form on the Standard toolbar.
