Change the margins for a control
After inserting a control in your form, you can specify the amount of blank space that appears between that control and the text, tables, and other controls that surround it. For example, to add extra space between label text and a text box, you can increase the margin setting for the text box.
- In design mode, right-click the control whose margins you want to change, and then click Control Properties on the shortcut menu.
- In the Control Properties dialog box, click the Size tab.
- Under Margins in the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right boxes, type the amount of space that you want between the control and the surrounding text, tables, or other controls, and then select a unit of measurement from the list for each amount.
To adjust the amount of space between a control's border and its contents, change the settings under Padding.
