Create a new map file.

To create a new map file

  1. Create a new map using the map2d.dwt template.
  2. Assign a coordinate system to the new map.
    • Switch the Task Pane to Map Explorer.
    • Right-click the Current Drawing entry and click Coordinate System.
    • Specify the CA-I coordinate system.

      Set the coordinate system for a new map from Map Explorer.

  3. Click File menu Save and name and save your file.
