Exercise 1: Create a new map

Create a new map file.

To create a new map file

1. Click File menu New and select the map2d.dwt template.
2. Assign a coordinate system to the new map.
   • Switch the Task Pane to Map Explorer.
   • Right-click the Current Drawing entry and click Coordinate System.
   • Specify the CA-I coordinate system.

     

     Set the coordinate system for a new map from Map Explorer.
