To Execute this Example
From a 5250 green screen or emulator: Execute function SET185A in process SET_185. Type in the name of the message queue to be monitored at the top of the screen.
From a windows workstation: Execute form S_185FMF. Use the Server / Connect menu options to connect to the required iSeries server and then repeatedly use the Queue / Monitor a Queue menu options to monitor message queues.
Note: To view or monitor a message queue you must ensure that it is not currently allocated to another process. The system operator's message queue is often allocated in break delivery mode to a workstation, which means it will not be displayed by these programs. Use the iSeries CHGMSGQ (Change Message Queue) command to drop or reset such allocations.
