Resource Allocation

The following tables include information about using multiple resources on NI motion controllers. Click the links to view descriptions of the resource allocation.

Default Resource Allocation

This table shows the default resource allocation for all axes on the NI 73xx motion controllers. The device resources are allocated as shown unless an axis is configured for dual loop feedback or for sinusoidal commutation. Resource numbers in brackets are only available on the NI 7350.

Resource Allocation for Dual-Loop Feedback and/or Sinusoidal Commutation

If you configure a motion controller axis for dual-loop feedback or sinusoidal commutation (NI 7350 only), the axis uses the resources as shown in the following table.
