Testing Moves

Complete the following steps to test a 1D move in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX):

1. Launch MAX.
2. Expand Devices and Interfaces in the configuration tree.
3. Expand NI–Motion Devices, and then select the item for the appropriate motion device.
4. Click Initialize.
5. Expand Interactive in the configuration tree and select 1-D Interactive.
6. Select the Main tab.
7. Change the number in Target Position to a number that is different from the one under Current Trajectory Data.
8. Click Apply.
9. Click Start. The motor moves to the target position.
10. Repeat these steps for each remaining axis.
