Insert a list control when designing a form
Insert a list control (automatically create the data source)
You can have Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 automatically create the data source when you insert lists (as well as other controls). If you do this, Office InfoPath 2003 will create a repeating field that is bound to the list.
- In design mode, place your insertion point where you want to insert the list.
- If the Controls task pane is not visible, click More Controls on the Insert menu.
- In the Controls task pane, make sure the Automatically create data source check box is selected.
Note If the check box cannot be selected, then the form's design does not allow the data source to be automatically created. You must insert a list control that is bound to an existing field or to a field that you create.
- Click Bulleted List, Numbered List, or Plain List.
- To change the formatting of the numbers or bullets, select the list, click Bullets and Numbering on the Format menu, and then in the Bullets and Numbering task pane, click the format you want.
- To test the list, click Preview Form on the Standard toolbar.
