Set options for form submission

1. In design mode, click Submitting Forms on the Tools menu.
2. In the Submitting Forms dialog box, type the new command name in the Caption box.

   Note  To create an access key so that users can execute the command with a keyboard shortcut, type an ampersand (&) before the key. The ampersand will not appear in the command name on the menu.

After a user submits the form, you can specify whether the form automatically closes, the form stays open, or a new blank form is created.

1. In design mode, click Submitting Forms on the Tools menu.
2. In the Submitting Forms dialog box, click Submit Options.
3. In the Submit Options dialog box, do one of the following:
   • To have the form close after a user submits it, click Close the form.
   • To open a new blank form after a user submits the original form, click Create a new, blank form.
   • To have the form stay open after a user submits it, click Leave the form open.

1. In design mode, click Submitting Forms on the Tools menu.
2. In the Submitting Forms dialog box, click Submit Options.
3. In the Submit Options dialog box, select the Instead of default message, show custom message check box.
4. In the Success message box, type the message that you want to appear when the form is successfully submitted.
5. In the Failure message box, type the message that you want to appear when the form is not successfully submitted.
