Add a border around a form

You can add a border to outline your entire form by placing your layout and controls into a single-cell layout table.

  1. In design mode, press CTRL+A to select the contents of the entire form, and then press CTRL+X to cut the selection.
  2. On the Insert menu, click Layout Table.
  3. In the Insert Table dialog box, enter 1 for both the Number of columns and the Number of rows.
  4. Right-click the layout table on the form, and then click Borders and Shading on the shortcut menu.
  5. In the Borders and Shading dialog box, click the Borders tab.
  6. Under Presets, click Outline.
  7. With the insertion point inside the layout table, press CTRL+V to paste your form contents.
