Enable or disable digital signatures
When designing a form, you can specify whether or not users are able to use digital signatures when they fill out the form. However, you cannot enable digital signatures on a form template that was created from a database, Web service, or an XML Schema that does not have a digital signature namespace.
Note Enabling digital signatures allows users to sign and certify the content of the form, not the underlying code.
- In design mode, click Forms Options on the Tools menu.
- In the Forms Options dialog box, click the Security tab, and then select the Allow users to digitally sign this form check box.
- If you want users to sign the form before they submit it, select the If users submit this form without a digital signature, prompt them to sign it check box.
Note Form submission must already be enabled for the form before you can select the check box.
- In design mode, click Forms Options on the Tools menu.
- In the Forms Options dialog box, click the Security tab, and then clear the Allow users to digitally sign this form check box.
Note Disabling digital signatures in a form template that already has forms based on it will remove the digital signatures from those existing forms.
