Save a document with a different file format or compression option
- On the File menu, click Save As.
- In the Save as type list, click the file format you want.
- To change the document compression options, click Options and then select the TIFF or MDI compression options you want.
Note When you save a file with a different compression option (without changing the file format), only pages that you have made changes to are saved with the new compression option. To compress all the pages with a new compression option, you must make changes to each page. For example, select all the pages in the thumbnail pane, right-click any selected page, point to Rotate Page, and then click Right 90°. Right-click any selected page, point to Rotate Page, and then click Left 90°.
Save a document with a new file name
- On the File menu, click Save As.
- In the File name box, type the new file name.
- Click OK.
Note When you save a file in Office Document Imaging, the optical character recognition (OCR) text is saved within the TIFF or MDI file. If you open and save a TIFF file that contains OCR text using another program, the OCR text will be lost. You must run OCR again using Office Document Imaging if you want to access the text in the TIFF file.
