Preset Options dialog box - Processing tab
Use this dialog box to specify settings that control optical character recognition (OCR) and scanning.
| Option | Description |

| Use OCR to recognize the text of the scanned image | Microsoft Office Document Imaging runs OCR automatically after scanning is completed. If this option is turned off, the rest of the options on this tab are unavailable. |
| Auto rotate | Select this check box to detect the orientation of text on the page and rotate scanned pages that are upside down or sideways. |
| Auto straighten | Select this check box to detect the orientation of text on the page and correct pages that are slightly misaligned. |
| OCR Language | Lists the available languages for OCR. Select the language you want to use. |
Note Using the Auto rotate and Auto straighten options may slow down the scanning process. If you are scanning at a higher resolution, using either of these options also reduces the resolution to 900 dots per inch.
