Add, change, or delete text
Although you cannot change, or remove scanned text on a page, you can add text as an annotation on a page, and then change, or remove that text.
- On the Tools menu, point to Annotations, and then click Insert Text Box.
- Do one of the following:
- To insert a text box with a predefined size, click the page.
- To insert a text box with a different size, drag its sizing handles until the text box is the size you want.
- Position the text box by dragging it to the location you want.
- Type the text.
- Select the text box.
- On the Annotations toolbar, click Select Annotations .
- Click the text box border.
- Do one of the following:
- To change the color, transparency, location, or size of the text box, click Format Text Box on the Edit menu.
- To change the formatting of text, select the text inside the text box, and then click Format Text on the Edit menu.
Note The Format Text Box command is not available on the Edit menu if the text box border is not selected, for example when the insertion point is inside the text box. Click only the text box border to select the text box.
- On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Annotations tab.
- Do one of the following:
- To change the default font, click Format Font, and then select the options you want.
- To change the default text box color, click the color you want in the Fill Color list.
- To change the text box transparency, select the option you want in the Fill Transparency box, where 0% is a solid color and 100% is no color.
