Options dialog box - Compression tab
Use this dialog box to change the default file compression settings used when you save a document.
| Option | Description |

| Perform lossless compression (LZW) | Compression option for all new and modified documents you save in the Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) format. With lossless compression, all of the information in the file is completely restored when the file is uncompressed. Select this check box if you want to share TIFF files with others. When you select this check box, the Optimize JPEG compression in favor of: setting is not available. |
| Optimize JPEG compression in favor of: | Select a setting to specify the default compression to perform when you save a new document in the TIFF format, or an existing TIFF file that you have made changes to in Microsoft Office Document Imaging. You cannot select this setting if the Perform lossless compression (LZW) checkbox is selected. |
