To change the way your name appears to other people
- Make sure you are on the Personal tab of the Options dialog box.
To get there: In the Windows Messenger main window, click the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Personal tab. - In the box, type your new name.
People who have you on their contact list will see your new name immediately.
Note
- Your display name cannot be your e-mail address.
