To use ink in the In-Place Input Panel

If ink tools are not available in the conversation window, you can write in the In-Place Input Panel, which then converts your handwriting to text.

  1. To open the In-Place Input Panel, tap in the typing area of the conversation window.
  2. Use the tablet pen to write your instant message in the In-Place Input Panel writing area.

    It converts your handwriting to text and then inserts it into the typing area of the conversation window. You can tap the tools in the In-Place Input Panel (Bksp, Del, Space, right and left arrows) to manipulate the text in the typing area.

  3. To send the message, tap Enter.

* Note

You can also enter text by tapping the on-screen keyboard in the In-Place Input Panel. Tap the keyboard icon on the far right of the panel to switch between the writing pad and the on-screen keyboard in the panel.
