To turn off alerts
- In the main window, click the Tools menu, select Options, and click the Preferences tab.
- In the Alerts section, clear the check box for the alerts you want to turn off.
To turn off alerts other than sign-in or instant message alerts, go to the Microsoft Alerts site where you can turn off the alerts you signed up for.
Notes
- If you do not see the Alerts tab, make sure you are signed in to the .NET Messenger Service. On the Tools menu, point to Show Tabs, and then click Microsoft Alerts.
- To block alerts and set your status to Busy when you run full-screen programs, select the Block alerts check box on the Preferences tab.
