What is a tab?
A tab allows you to quickly check information that is important to you. Tabs appear along the left side of the main window. Clicking the tab image brings it to the foreground, opening the tab and its contents.
The tabs you see may be provided by either of these sources:
- The .NET Messenger Service (the Alerts tab)
- Your computer manufacturer
Notes
- If you do not see tabs along the left side of the main window, go to the Tools menu, point to Show Tabs, and make sure that the ones you want to appear are checked.
- If you still do not see tabs along the left side of the main window, it may be because they are turned off. On the Tools menu, click Options. On the Privacy tab, make sure that this check box is clear: Don't download any tabs to my computer.
