A typical programming session
The following instructions describe how you should program a ST microcontroller using STVP.
Make sure that the ST microcontroller is plugged into the hardware programming tool socket.
- Configure STVP.
- Open the files holding the data to program.
- Check that the ST microcontroller memory has not already been programmed: in the STVP main window, click on Blank-Check>Current tab or Blank-Check>Active Sectors. Or you can also set the "Blank check before programming" option in the Edit/Preferences dialog box.
- Execute the programming session: in the STVP main window, click on All tabs in the Program menu (or press the button).
- Check that the programing session was successfully completed: in the STVP main window, click on All tabs in the Verify menu (or press the button). Or set the "Verify after programming" option in the Edit/Preferences dialog box.

TIP: Press the ESC key to abort the programming device process.
