A typical programming session


The following instructions describe how you should program a ST microcontroller using STVP.

Make sure that the ST microcontroller is plugged into the hardware programming tool socket.

  1. Configure STVP.
  2. Open the files holding the data to program.
  3. Check that the ST microcontroller memory has not already been programmed: in the STVP main window, click on Blank-Check>Current tab or Blank-Check>Active Sectors. Or you can also set the "Blank check before programming" option in the Edit/Preferences dialog box.
  4. Execute the programming session: in the STVP main window, click on All tabs in the Program menu (or press the alt button).
  5. Check that the programing session was successfully completed: in the STVP main window, click on All tabs in the Verify menu (or press the GENERATE/ipveri24.gif button). Or set the "Verify after programming" option in the Edit/Preferences dialog box.

    TIP: Press the ESC key to abort the programming device process.
