Setting a project hardware environment


A project hardware environment defines:

GENERATE/DOT_S695.gif      The programming hardware used to program the ST microcontroller (EPB, DVP, STICK, etc).

GENERATE/DOT_S695.gif      The PC port that the programming hardware is connected to.

GENERATE/DOT_S695.gif      The programming mode to be used.

GENERATE/DOT_S695.gif      The ST microcontroller to be programmed.

To set a project hardware environment:

  1. Click on Configure ST Visual Programmer from the Configure menu (or press the alt button). The Configuration dialog box opens:
    GENERATE/config19.gif
  2. From the Hardware list, select the one you are using (EPB, DVP or STICK).
  3. From the Port list, select the PC port from which STVP is connected.
  4. From the Programing mode list, select the programming mode you want to use.
  5. From the Device list, select the ST microcontroller you want to program.
  6. Click OK to save your changes and close the dialog box.
  7. TIP: You can also select a ST microcontroller from the drop-down list in the main window toolbar.
