In this exercise, you will create a point table by selecting drawing points that are included in an existing point group.
Open the Lesson-3.dwg file from the Tutorial2 project.
On the Labels menu, click Add Tables Point Table to display the Points dialog box.
Click the Point Groups tab and check on (select) the Control point group.
Click the List tab to view the points included in this point group.
Click the Summary tab to view the total number of points included in this point group.
Click OK on the Points dialog box to display the Point Table Definition dialog box.
In the Table Title section, type MY POINT TABLE into the Text box.
In the Column Definition section, double-click in the fourth column under the No Column heading to display the Column #4 - Definition dialog box.
In the Column Header Information section, enter NORTHING for the Header.
In the Display Value Information section, select Northing, click Add Value, then verify that {Northing} is displayed in the Text section.
Click OK to return to the Point Table Definition dialog box.
In the Column Definition section, double-click in the fifth column under the No Column heading to display the Column #5 - Definition dialog box.
In the Column Header Information section, enter EASTING for the Header.
In the Display Value Information section, select Easting, click Add Value, then verify that {Easting} is displayed in the Text section.
Click OK to return to the Point Table Definition dialog box.
Click OK on the Point Table Definition dialog box.
Click on the location in the drawing where you want the table placed. The upper-left corner of the table is inserted where you clicked.
You may need to zoom in to see the table.
Points 247 and 758 display in the table because they exist in the drawing. Points that exist in the points database but not in the drawing do not display in the table.
