Placing Points Along an Alignment

In this exercise, you will place points along an alignment between specified stations at an offset. First, change the view and set the current alignment.

  1. On the View menu, click Named Views to display the View dialog box. Under Name, select 2, click Set Current, and then click OK.

  2. On the Alignments menu, click Set Current Alignment, and then press ENTER to display the Alignment Librarian dialog box.

  3. From the Selection list, select P3_HWY69, and then click OK.

  4. On the Points menu, click Create Points - Alignments Measure Alignment.

  5. Enter 15500 for the Beginning station, and then enter 16000 for the Ending station.

  6. Enter 15 m for the Offset, enter 50 m for the Station interval, and then enter 25 for the Current point number.

Eleven points are set along the alignment.
