NOTE
The Surveying Tutorials described in this chapter are available when you install
AutoCADĀ® Civil 3DĀ® Land Desktop Companion 2008. The stand-alone installation
of AutoCAD Land Desktop does not include these features.
Welcome to the surveying tools tutorial.
This tutorial has two lessons about working with survey data:
Lesson 37: Using Survey Toolspace. This lesson provides exercises on adding, editing, and viewing survey data using the Survey Toolspace, which is a centralized interface for managing and editing survey control point data, survey setup data, survey observation data, and survey figure data.
Lesson 38: Using Other Survey Features: This lesson provides exercises on other Survey features as well as alternative ways of inputting, adjusting, and viewing survey data.
The surveying tools contain a complete set of tools for the surveyor to download and process survey information, perform adjustments on network and traverse data, and import those survey points into an AutoCAD drawing.
The surveying tools also provide additional options for detailing points with figures and line work. Other options provide the capability of calculating directions based on Sun and Starshot information. For more information, see the Surveying Tools online Help.
Note Before using this tutorial, you should be familiar with AutoCAD Land Desktop. If you haven't had experience using the AutoCAD Land Desktop, review the AutoCAD Land Desktop Tutorial.
