The Re-Draw Table command lets you automatically update the information displayed in a line, curve, or spiral object table. For example, if you created a line table that displayed information on 20 line objects, and then you deleted some of those lines from your drawing, the information in the object table would not change. However, you can use the Re-Draw Table command to automatically update the table so that it displays current object data.
Close the current drawing and project then open the Tutorial1 project and the Lesson-11.dwg file.
In a previous lesson, you created a line table. Click here to see an illustration of that line table. If you do not have a line table on the current drawing, create one using the steps in the Creating a Line Table lesson.
In the drawing, select any three lines from the drawing and delete them. Notice that the line table still displays information on the lines that you just deleted from the drawing.
From the Labels menu, select Edit Tables Re-Draw Table.
Click on any text in the line table, then press ENTER. Notice that the table automatically updates, removing the rows of data for lines that no longer exist in the drawing.
The Re-Draw Table command updates all object information displayed in the table. For example, if northing and easting data changed for objects displayed in the table, Re-Draw automatically updates the information displayed in the table.
