In this exercise, you will create elevation banding with 3D faces.
On the Terrain menu, click Set Current Surface to display the Select Surface dialog box.
From the Selection list, select Area1C, and then click OK.
On the Terrain menu, click Surface Display Banding - 3D Faces to display the Surface Elevation Shading Settings dialog box.
Verify that the Create Skirts check box is clear, enter 2 for the Vertical factor and 6 for the Number of ranges, and then click Auto-Range to display the Terrain Range Views dialog box.
Accept the default values displayed in this dialog box by clicking OK, and then the Surface Range Definitions dialog box is displayed.
Click OK to return to the Surface Elevation Shading Settings dialog box, and then click OK.
Press ENTER to accept the default, Yes, to erase the old range view, and then the Range Statistics window is displayed.
When you have finished reviewing the range statistics information click OK.
