• You will use the Land Desktop menus when working with all of these lessons. To display the Land Desktop menus, select Land from the Workspaces toolbar. If the Workspaces toolbar is not displayed, click Projects Workspaces.

• You can close the Map Workspace (dockable window on the left of the AutoCAD screen) because it is not used in the tutorial.

• The tutorial window stays on top as you work with AutoCAD Land Desktop.
  If you do not want the tutorial window to stay on top, from the Help window’s menu bar, select Options Keep Help on Top Not On Top.

• Working through these lessons will result in alteration of the Tutorial project files. Backup copies of these project files can be found in the c:\Program Files\AutoCAD Land Desktop <Version Number>\Landtut folder.
  

If this lesson has been previously run, copy these unaltered project files to the \Land Projects <Version Number> folder when starting a new tutorial session to ensure that the sequence outlined in each lesson can be followed properly.
