About the Report Range and the Print Range

The Report range is generated from the Spec range when you print the financial report. It contains data that is generated by the report, as well as data extracted from the General Ledger.

The template portion of the specification expands in the final report to display the actual general ledger data.

The control information in the first four columns of the specification is replaced by audit information in the report range—the numbers of the accounts from which the information was taken.

When you print the report, Financial Reporter prints all but the first four columns of the Report range (omitting the audit information).

The area it prints is called the Print range.
