Creating FTP Profiles
FTP profiles contain all the settings you need to connect to a server, such as user name, password, and host type. If you do not enter valid data for all the profile requirements, FTP prompts you to specify settings before launching a connection.
To create an FTP profile:
- In Hummingbird Neighborhood, double-click the New FTP Profile icon (or click New FTP Profile on the File menu). The FTP Site Properties dialog box opens.
- Specify information in the following pages:
- General Page (FTP Site Properties Dialog Box)
- Advanced Page (FTP Site Properties Dialog Box)
- Firewall/Proxy Page (FTP Site Properties Dialog Box)
- Other Page (FTP Site Properties Dialog Box)
- Click OK. The Save FTP Profile dialog box opens.
- In the Profile Name box, type a name for the new profile. By default, this box shows the name that you specified in the Host Address box on the General page of the FTP Site Properties dialog box.
- Click Save.
Your new FTP profile appears in Hummingbird Neighborhood.
