Viewing Files
Hummingbird FTP provides a View feature that lets you open a remote file for viewing. When you choose this option, Hummingbird FTP saves the file in a temporary directory on your PC and launches the associated application.
To view a file:
- Establish an FTP connection with the selected FTP server.
- Make sure that you have set the appropriate FTP transfer mode (that is, ASCII, binary, or Auto Select).
- In the Exploring window, right-click the FTP file and click View.
If there is no program associated with the file, Hummingbird FTP uses Notepad to display the file.
