Creating and Managing 5250 Data Transfer Profiles
5250 data transfer profiles are displayed in Hummingbird Neighborhood and contain all the settings required to connect to a remote host, such as the host name and your login credentials, and settings for the file transfer. For example, you can enable directory caching, specify a code page, and configure options for downloading and uploading files.
To create a profile:
- In the Hummingbird Neighborhood window, click New 5250 Data Transfer Profile. The 5250 Data Transfer Properties dialog box opens.
- In the boxes provided on the General page, type the host name or IP address, and then type your user name and password for that host.
- On the Advanced page, set the transfer options.
- Click OK.
The new profile appears in the Hummingbird Neighborhood window. It is named after the host you specified. To connect to the host, double-click the profile.
To edit, rename, or delete a profile:
Right-click the profile, and then click the related menu item.
