Tracing an FTP Session

Hummingbird FTP provides a tracing feature that lets you monitor or debug an FTP server connection. All information about the FTP server connection is then copied to the trace file.

To trace an FTP session:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the toolbar, click the Enable/Disable FTP Tracing button.
    • Right-click an FTP profile and click Enable Tracing.
  2. Establish an FTP server connection.

To select a trace file:

  1. On the View menu, click Hummingbird Neighborhood Options. The Hummingbird Neighborhood Options dialog box opens.
  2. Click the FTP General tab.
  3. In the Trace File box, enter the directory path and file name of the trace file you want to use, or browse to it.
  4. Click OK.
