Trigger Settings

Controls the trigger conditions under which IVI Soft Front Panels—Scope acquires a signal.  To set the trigger holdoff value, refer to the Acquire tab in the IVI Soft Front Panels Scope general settings dialog box.

Src Selects the analog or digital channel that you want to use as a trigger source.
Note  Only those trigger sources that the current instrument supports appear in this control.
  • Immed—The oscilloscope does not wait for a trigger of any kind.
  • Ext—The oscilloscope waits for a trigger on an external trigger input.
  • Ch x—The oscilloscope waits for a trigger on the acquisition channel x.
  • AC—The oscilloscope waits for a trigger on the AC line.
  • GET—The oscilloscope waits until it receives a GPIB Group Execute Trigger (GET).
  • TTLx —The oscilloscope waits until it receives a trigger on the PXI TTLx line (for PXI instruments) or the VXI TTLx line (for VXI instruments).
  • ECLx—The oscilloscope waits for a trigger on the ECL line x.
  • Star—The oscilloscope waits for a trigger on the PXI star bus.
  • RTSIx—The oscilloscope waits for a trigger on the RTSI line x.
Slope Selects the slope (rising or falling) required to meet the trigger condition.
Set 50% Sets the vertical trigger position to halfway between the min and max values of the trigger channel's input signal. For instance, if a 5V amplitude sine wave with 1V offset (max value is 6V, min value is -4V) is connected to the trigger channel, the Set 50% button sets the vertical trigger position to 1V ((6 - 4) / 2)).
Note  On External (Ext) channels, clicking this button sets the trigger level to 0 V.
