DMM Temperature Settings
To configure IVI Soft Front Panels—DMM temperature settings, select Edit»Temperature Settings.

Note The Temperature Settings menu is
enabled only when the temperature measurement is supported by the
instrument.
The Temperature Setting dialog box displays differently depending on which Transducer Type control is selected. The following figures show all the Temperature Setting dialog boxes for the Transducer Type Thermocouple, Thermistor, 2Wire/4Wire RTD, respectively. |
| Transducer Type | Specifies the type of temperature sensor. |
| Thermocouple Type | Specifies the type of cold-junction sensor, if you are measuring from a thermocouple. |
| Ref Junc Type | Specifies the type of reference junction used in the reference junction compensation of a thermocouple measurement. |
| Ref Junc Temp | Specifies the external junction temperature in Celsius, if you are using the fixed reference junction. |
| Thermistor Res | Specifies the resistance of the thermistor in Ohms, if you are measuring temperature from a resistance. |
| RTD Alpha Value | Specifies the alpha parameter for a resistance temperature device (RTD), if you are measuring temperature from an RTD. |
| RTD Res | Specifies the R parameter (resistance) for an RTD, if you are measuring temperature from a resistance. |
