Comparing Saved and New Waveforms

Complete the following steps to compare one or two reference waveforms with newly acquired waveforms:

1. Load one or two waveforms from an ASCII text file. Refer to Viewing Saved Waveforms for more information. You also can copy a waveform from one of the existing channels. To select the waveform to copy, select the channel using the arrow buttons in the channel settings group of the front panel or the vertical position slider for that channel. Next, select Edit»Copy Channel to Ref 1 or Edit»Copy Channel to Ref 2 to copy the active waveform to the reference channel.
2. Click Ref 1 or Ref 2 in the channel selector to display the reference waveforms.
3. Adjust the vertical position sliders or other controls in the channel settings group and notice the effects on the reference waveforms.
4. Adjust the Timebase knob and the x-axis position slide control to view parts of the waveform.
