Making Connections

Complete the following steps to make signal connections:

1. Connect signals to two or more channels on your switch instrument.
2. Select an IVI instrument to use with IVI Soft Front Panels—Switch. Only logical names that you have configured successfully in MAX appear in the IVI Instrument list. Refer to:
3. Select two channels that you want to connect in the Channel Selection Group.
4. Click Connect to connect the two channels.
5. Click the connection in the Connection List to view information about the connection.

To view information about a particular connection, click the connection in the Connection List. IVI Soft Front Panels—Switch displays information such as the connection path and the maximum allowable voltage, current, and power levels for each channel.

To disconnect a signal connection, click the connection in the Connection List and then click Disconnect.

To exit IVI Soft Front Panels—Switch, select Exit from the File menu.
